Blanche is an original acrylic portrait by Pauline Larouche , a Quebec painter. This work holds a special place in her artistic journey, as it was the first face she painted in 1985 during her painting classes. More than just a technical exercise, this painting marks the beginning of a passion for human expression and emotion.

The inspiration came from a black and white photograph discovered in a magazine. The woman's luminous gaze, delicately sculpted wrinkles, and mischievous smile instantly evoke the tenderness of a loving grandmother. Her finger resting on her lips seems to invite silence, confidences, or the sharing of a secret. This gesture, both simple and universal, leaves room for individual interpretation.

The contrasts of light highlight the facial features, while the warm hues of the background create a soft and enveloping atmosphere. Despite the years, this work already testifies to Pauline Larouche's attention to the sensitivity of her subjects, the depth of their gazes, and the emotions that transcend time.

Blanche will appeal to lovers of figurative art, expressive portraits, and works steeped in history. This unique painting will bring warmth, humanity, and authenticity to a contemporary or classic interior. It also serves as a magnificent testament to Pauline Larouche's artistic beginnings and the evolution of her creative journey.
