Moonlight is an original work created in 1998 , inspired by a memorable evening of skiing with friends at Mont Lac-Vert in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. This canvas emerged spontaneously: initially created from splashes of color, the image gradually revealed itself until the main figure, wearing a beret, appeared. This intuitive way of painting leaves ample room for imagination and emotion.

The scene depicts an evening where the illuminated slopes stand out against a dark sky, creating a peaceful and warm atmosphere. In the foreground, a face is half-shadowed, while in the background, two skiers are still enjoying the mountain. To the right, a ski rack hints at the crowds under this moonlit sky and testifies to the popularity of evening skiing.

The mountain peaks, painted with vivid and expressive colors, give depth and movement to the composition. The contrasts between blues, greens, luminous whites, and touches of yellow evoke the crispness of a Quebec winter and the magic of the illuminated slopes.
