Velvet Butterfly is an original work by Quebec painter Pauline Larouche , created with acrylic and mixed media on gallery-wrapped canvas. In this 20 x 20-inch composition, the white orchid brings a great softness and an almost ethereal delicacy, while the lush foliage and shades of blue and green give the whole a strong and enveloping presence.

At the heart of the composition, the white orchid flowers seem to rise lightly above a richly textured landscape of plants. The contrast between the delicate flowers and the deep blues creates an atmosphere that is at once soothing, elegant, and contemporary.

The blue butterflies immediately catch the eye. They are the result of a search for textures and materials characteristic of Pauline Larouche's work. A textured cardboard base creates a unique effect reminiscent of corduroy , giving the butterflies a tactile and original appearance. The delicately crafted details on their wings enhance their presence and movement.

This original painting brings a touch of nature, poetry, and color to a contemporary decor. Velvet Butterfly is particularly suitable for a living room, bedroom, entryway, condo, or even a professional office looking for a unique and inviting work of art.
